No shame in being a renter. Leverage and tax breaks are great but only if it makes sense for you and your money in the moment.

Absolutely! Plus, the real benefit that I anticipate will come from this is priceless. I hope to be able to share very soon!

So happy to hear. House hunting on even a mild time crunch concerning. Such a great reframe of your mindset. Fingers crossed the move goes smoothly.

You’re so right. It’s not my preference, but it’s funny how I feel at peace not rushing into buying something. Thank you for your well wishes and such valuable perspective.

We could add to this list of quotes - - "Flexibility is moving with a Purpose!!" And it works in all matters!

Flexible thinking is often linked to wisdom, adaptability, and resilience. Here are some of the most insightful quotes that capture its essence:

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” – Albert Einstein Goodreads+1

“Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.” – Tony Robbins A-Z Quotes+1

“The bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists.” – Japanese Proverb snugfam.com

“Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.” – Michael McGriffy, M.D. Wolf Global+1

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change.” – Charles Darwin snugfam.com

I've been a homeowner for over 23 years. My mortgage is paid off. We're thinking about living overseas. If we do, we will sell the house and rent. I'm excited about leaving home ownership and renting. Less responsibility, more flexibility. You are not going backwards. You are choosing more freedom.

I felt every word of that, and I appreciate you sharing here. It’s not an admission I hear often, but I have similar beliefs about owning a home, which is why it’s important to stay below my means no matter what happens. Freedom, flexibility and fixed costs sound just fine to me.
