Money Talks was just for us. Then you showed up.
Deeply grateful to all of you who’ve walked this path with us.

Today marks our 250th post — and I want to take a moment to say thank you.
What began as a simple idea — a space for real, honest conversations about money with my daughter, Parker — has grown into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined.
Money Talks has become a shared journey: toward financial clarity, intentional living and, above all, connection.
Over 250 posts, we’ve laughed, reflected, questioned and grown together. We’ve explored the tough stuff, celebrated small wins and opened up about the quiet, everyday choices that shape our lives.
And through it all, many of you have been right there with us — reading, listening, responding and showing up with open hearts and curious minds.
To those who have been here since the beginning — and to those who’ve joined along the way — thank you for keeping pace. Your support and encouragement have transformed this from a personal project into a living, breathing community.
You’ve turned each post from a quiet reflection into a meaningful dialogue. Your comments, stories and insights have helped make Money Talks more than just a platform — you’ve helped create a place where we build understanding together.
This journey has transformed us — as a family and as individuals. It’s made us more intentional, more open and more grounded in what truly matters.
And our greatest hope is that these conversations are enriching your life in meaningful ways too — helping you think differently, talk more freely or simply feel a little less alone on your own path.
If anything we’ve shared has made you feel seen, sparked a new thought, or started a conversation in your own life or your family — we’d love to hear about it. Your voice matters. Every response, every memory, even a simple “same,” helps shape the soul of this space.
So please, keep joining in. Reply, comment, share a post with someone who might need it — whatever feels right to you. The conversation is always richer with you in it.
Money Talks has become my life’s work. And your willingness to grow alongside us, to walk this path with intention, means the world.
Here’s to every step we’ve taken together so far — and to all the steps still ahead.
With deep gratitude,
Darnell
Money Talks turns 2!
Three weekends ago, my girls Parker and Tiffany whipped up some homemade chocolate chip cookies. As we gathered in the kitchen, a debate brewed — should we stick to our tried-and-true recipe, or venture into the unknown with a new one from Hershey's?
